Video Summary:

In a previous video, John emailed about issues with Field Nation notifications, suspecting a psyop due to excessive /”Ticket assigned to another provider/” alerts. Viewer feedback confirmed the issue persisted despite settings. I’ll share a workaround to organize emails, crucial for field techs to manage their inboxes effectively.

We’ll cover setting up email rules or filters in Outlook or Gmail to sort notifications. John fears these notifications are malicious, but they’re just updates. I use Gmail’s rules to manage constant emails by spotting patterns and moving them to labels, filtering out unnecessary clutter.

For instance, I don’t need to know when jobs are assigned to others; I focus on available jobs and payments. I’ve set up rules to direct specific emails into folders like ‘Available-Direct’ for client offers and ‘Available-Platform’ for platform tickets. I use two additional email addresses for notifications, each with distinct ringtones on my phone.

I archive emails from my main account to ensure I’ve addressed everything. In my ‘All Mail’ folder, you can see how rules manage emails, moving them to relevant labels like ‘New Jobs’. I’ll show you a basic setup of these rules.

To create a filter in Gmail, look for common elements in emails like sender or subject keywords. Test your filter to ensure it captures the right emails, remembering platforms might change email wording, necessitating filter updates.

If you feel overwhelmed by notifications, setting up these filters can help manage your email, enhancing efficiency.
