This video will show you how to quickly turn on Windows Media Streaming on your PC so that you stream videos, music and pictures to any compatible device on your home network. It will show you how to configure by selecting which folders on you PC you want to stream from and finally how to access it from a client device.

Windows Media Streaming is embedded in Windows and supports DLNA streaming to compatible clients which tends to be any device that supports streaming such as TVs, mobile phones, video consoles etc. It allows you to implement a home media server solution without any additional hardware or software.

Windows Media Streaming is disabled by default in Windows so you need to turn it and configure it.
When enabled you’ll be able to stream music, video and pictures to client devices.
