Storage Spaces allows you to create storage pools out of multiple physical hard drives and then combine them to make better use of the disk space. You can use simple space to make a single large drive out of multiple disks. You can use a mirror pool to provide redundancy by writing to two or more drives simultaneously so if one disk fails, you will still have your data (similar to RAID 1). Parity pools are used for performance and redundancy so if one disk fails, the other disks will take over without losing any data (Similar to RAID 5). You can use Storage Spaces in Windows 11 and Windows 10.
