safely remove hardware button not working???

When you plug an external drive or another device into your pc, the “#Safely #Remove #Hardware and Eject #Media” icon appears in the #systray (that’s the area with icons next to the clock).
When you want to remove that external device, what you are supposed to do is click the icon to and select eject next to the device you want to remove.
However, I’ve recently run into a couple of #pc’s where the Eject window would not appear after clicking the icon. As a side note, if you try and open “#Devices and #Printers” in the Control Panel, that will fail to open as well.

In one situation, where the pc was having this problem, the pc was infected with #malware and the malware had turned off all services. In another situation, problems started just after updating Bluetooth drivers, and this is how we figured out the issue. As of now, we can NOT explain why this solves the issue, but we can confirm that this has worked as the solution every time.

Solution
Ensure Bluetooth Support #Service is running (This is true even you do not use any Bluetooth devices with your device)

To do so, follow these steps (Close all running programs)
1. Click Start Button – Select #Run (If you don’t see run as a choice, click the search box above start and type run, then select it)
2. In the run box, type #services.msc, and press ENTER
3. Scroll to #Bluetooth #Support #Service, #right-click – Start (Also change the start setting to automatic)
4. With that simple change, the safely remove hardware should be #working again. If you are also having the issue of the “Devices and Printers” window not working, just reboot at this point to clear that issue up.
