This sound of water is called burble. The sound of Brooks or stream or river may be babbles or ripples or even trickles.

Drums with a bigger drum shell have a lower pitch, while drums with a smaller drum shell are, the higher the pitch. That’s because drum heads on a bigger shell vibrate slower when they are hit, hence the lower pitch. Drum heads on smaller drum shells, on the other hand, vibrate faster when they are hit.

Individual raindrops make sound under water in two ways. The impact of the raindrop hitting the ocean surface makes the first sound. Following the initial impact, sound can radiate from bubbles trapped under water during the splash. For most raindrops, the sound produced by the bubbles is louder.

The whining and face licking are common. They also make a chuffing sound, kind of a short grunt.

“A spreading of good feeling like people singing around a campfire, feeling closer to one another – it’s that same idea: through song, wolves reaffirm social bonds with one another,” they explained. “I never get tired of listening to them sing!” expressed another.

Like wolves, dogs have very sensitive senses. Yes, in at least two ways. First they are highly sensitive to body language, as were their ancestors, grey wolves. So it’s not impossible that dogs can literally smell our fear.

Ears perked up or forward with the tail straight out and slightly up indicates dominance. Ears sticking straight up or low and out to the side, teeth bared and a wrinkled snout, clearly communicates a very cross and threatening message.

In wolves, enthusiastic face licking not only is an indication of affection, but also sometimes one of subordination, too. If one wolf licks the face of another, he may be making a point to convey his lower social ranking.

But wolves have an extensive repertoire of sounds. Whines and whimpers indicate friendly interaction but can also express frustration or anxiety. Growls and snarls are threatening or defensive. Barking is rare, and is usually used as an alarm signal.
