HDMI is the signal interface of choice for both the commercial and residential AV markets, as we continue to add more and more devices to our HD screens and televisions.
The range of HDMI source devices featuring HDMI high definition audio / video output is constantly increasing with devices such as digital tv, Sky Box, PS4, XBox, DVD, BluRay, Apple TV, etc all featuring a HDMI output.
HDMI is now also featuring frequently on laptops and PCs as we stream content from the web and as commercial systems integrate PC technology with AV display and presentations.
You’ll also increasingly find HDMI (often using mini or micro HDMI connectors) featuring on handhdeld devices such as smart phones and tablets which are now providing portable HD content.
HDMI is the combined signal interface for both audio and video signals, normally using a HDMI cable to connect your ‘Source’ devices (BluRay players, Apple TV, etc) to your ‘Sink’ or ‘Display’ devices (TV, screen or projector).
