I’ve decided to make this tutorial for anyone having trouble booting Windows XP SP3 x86 on a M1 Mac with the latest UTM virtual machine (version 3.2.4 [58]).

I was having errors with my UTM hanging at the UEFI setup screen or the /”setup is inspecting your computer’s hardware configuration/” screen. After many trial and error, I finally found a solution with the correct bootable setup configuration.

Note: If you somehow lost a copy of your Windows XP SP3 x86, you can simply search the iso file on google.
