In this tutorial, I explain how it is possible to play with friends via a Java edition LAN server on Minecraft.
A quick summary of how to play Minecraft with friends on a LAN world:
First, go into a Minecraft singleplayer world, then click /”Open to LAN/” in the pause menu. Remember the number that shows up in the chat. Also, locate your IPV4 Address.
Then, on your friend’s computer, go into the /”Multiplayer/” tab, and select Direct Connect. Put in the IPV4 Address that you found, followed by a semicolon, then the LAN number that you found when you opened the Minecraft game to LAN.
Then have them join, and you will now be in a multiplayer game in Minecraft, with your friend using a LAN connection.
