Budget friendly, with exceptional quality and very good audio – this is what I can say about latest Tribit’s QuietPlus ANC headphones.

So who will tribit challenge? Certainly not Bose and Sony, which have easily conquered the top spots for ANC with their patented technologies. But it can easily surpass in terms of quality pretty much everything else below $100
Unboxing comes first – the specs are visible on the back side – and we already know what to expect; Good to see that the headphones have their own case – it is a hard case – and in my opinion – essential – because otherwise it’s too easy to break, not hygienic enough and so on.
The specifications promise great performance: drivers are 40mm – which is about the size of the Sony 1000xm3 headphones. There’s no word about the frequency response yet, but we can see the battery – providing 30 hours playback time, Bluetooth 5.0 with range up to 33 feet or around 10 meters, three physical buttons for volume and playback, and a dedicated button for switching on and off noise cancelling;

Since hardware is clear – let me talk about the features and the performance. Will first let you know what these headphones do not support: no smart assistant, not even a smartphone app; These headphones are about being simple and about working good. Three buttons on the side – using the main button you can switch ON … you can play the next track by two short presses, you can go to the previous track with quick triple press. If someone is calling you – a short press accepts the call, long press – will reject the call. And a long press while silent will shut them off. Of course you will be very interested at the noise cancellation: well – the headset is very well isolating by itself – so even the passive noise cancellation is superb. The separate NC button takes care of the surrounding noises – if such are left. I noticed that it is not too great when coping with too low and too high frequencies, but the few times I’ve tried in the subway – it did the job very well and has efficiently eliminated all the sounds generated by the rails. So my expectation is that handling airplane noise will be quite effective too.
In my opinion the performance is remarkable – sound is very well calibrated – and is apparently touched by someone with sound engineering background; you can enjoy good bass, but it is not as “boomy” as for example JBL products sound, and the high frequencies are not smashed. The maximum volume luckily brings no distortions.

No, I cannot say these are the best ANC headphones on the market, but seem to be the best in the range below $100 and because of the simplicity they offer and the affordable price will probably become my primary headphones. The only remark is that the buttons are not so well grouped, but – after around a month I am already well used to each one of them.
