Unable to shutdown/sleep/restart and getting the message /”There are currently no power options available/” in Windows 7/8/10/11? You can fix it easily by one of these two methods.
Method 1: Search Registry editor in windows search bar. Right click and run as administrator. Go to the following key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER//Software//Microsoft//Windows//CurrentVersion//Policies//Explorer//NoClose
Open /”NoClose/” file on the right and change the value to 0. OR simply delete the file.
Then open task manager. Locate windows explorer. Right click and restart.

If windows explorer is missing from the task manager, Press Windows Key+R and type it there
shutdown /f /r
and click OK to restart immediately. Restarting computer/windows explorer is required to apply the changes made in registry editor. You can run the same command in Command Prompt admin or Terminal admin.

Method 2: Command prompt admin – type the following two commands and hit the enter key after each

powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
shutdown /f /r

This will restore default power schemes for your computer. The second command will restart your comptuer to apply the changes.

Hope this helps!
