Yet again my friends it has been a mesmerizing week of space. SpaceX Sets CRAZY Starship Goal… Are They Serious?! This will include some Optimus robots. If that could land successfully, human landings could happen around 2031? Well look, I don’t think we can predict much at this point until we see a fully reused Starship and Super Heavy, but I love the optimism. There are many big milestones still required. Lets not forget SpaceX need to have reliably got full catch and reuse well proven, all the refilling systems and a Starship destined for Mars in orbit full of propellant. There are a lot of tanker launches needed just for the one mission. You need landing legs to land on the surface, you need Tesla’s Optimus robots far enough along to do useful things. Along with all that we have yet another incredible record being broken by SpaceX in Falcon 9’s most rapid turnaround yet with the NROL-57 mission. Heartfelt end of missions for the Firefly Blue Ghost mission and Athena from Intuitive Machines. There was the Crew-10 docking handover and Crew 9 return home after the Starliner saga, and finally the Rocket Lab Mars Sample Return mission and Electron flights. Another crazy week!
