When there are obsolete user profile entries left in the system, you may encounter a “ Profile not completely deleted, Error-Directory is not empty ” error in the pop-up window. You may need to delete these outdated user profiles to resolve the issue.
Hi, this is Rubel from Tech Review, today I am here to show you, how to fix the error, Profile not deleted completely, Error – The directory is not empty.
Press Win + R, in the Run window type sysdm.cpl and click OK. In the system properties, go to the Advanced tab and click on Settings in the User Profile section. In the User Profiles window, If you can find a user profile named, Account Unknown in the list, select it and click on the Delete.
After clicking on the delete button, you will get a confirmation pop-up window for the removal action. Click on Yes. It may take a few moments to complete the process. Once done, click on the OK, to save the change.
Now we need to Disable the Windows search service, to do this, click on the start menu, type service, after appearing the service, click on it.
After opening the service, From the Services list, find a service, which name is, Windows search, double click on it. Click on stop. After stopping the Windows search service, click on start. Click on apply, ok. Now restart your computer, after restarting your problem should be solved.
