This will probably only be a problem for less than a month because they will probably update the software and fix it. But in the meantime you can just uninstall it to get rid of crackling audio and freezing youtube videos.
(Update, after a Windows update, the software and audio crackling came back. I uninstalled smartbyte again and the crackling is gone again)
