If Snipping tool not working in windows 10, you can follow the steps given by me in this tutorial. I’ve covered different methods to figure out the issue. At times, Snipping tool stops working. But, you don’t need to worry at all because this can be fixed in a few minutes.

Snipping tool cannot open is one of the common issues. Here are some steps to fix the error:

1. Run Snipping Tool As An Administrator – Tap on Windows button on the keyboard and search Snipping Tool and right click over it and choose Run as administrator.
2. End Task Snipping From Task Manager and Restart It – Open Task Manager and tap on Snipping Tool and click on End Task. This will close the Snipping tool completely. Now, re-launch Snipping tool. If this doesn’t fix the error, move to the next step.
3. Update The Graphic Drivers – You need to update Graphic drivers to the latest version to run the proper functionality of processing images. Install all the required updates for the graphic driver to run it smoothly.
4. Download Windows Updates – Make sure to update your Windows to the latest version. All the necessary Windows updates should be installed by you. Windows updates are useful to get rid of any error on your PC and it can also resolve Snipping tool not working in windows 11.
5. Run DISM Tool In Command Prompt – Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. It’ll help in repairing Windows images service. Issues related to images will be resolved by running this command. RestoreHealth is useful in resolving the system image problem and helping in taking proper screenshots from the Snipping tool.
6. Uninstall and Reinstall Snipping Tool – If still Snipping tool not working, you can uninstall the snipping tool app from your PC and re-install it.
