Basic Disk Storage:
• There are two styles of partition in Basic disk: MBR partition & GPT partition.
• Can be easily converted to a Dynamic disk without losing any data.
• Already created partition cannot be changed or modified.
• Supports multi-boot configuration.
• Compatible with older operating system.

Dynamic Disk Storage:
• Instead of partitions, there are simple volumes, spanned volumes, striped volumes, mirrored volumes, and RAID-5 volumes.
• A Dynamic disk is convertible to Basic disk, but it causes all data to be lost.
• Volumes can be modified and extended.
• Does not support multi-boot configuration.
• Supported by Windows 2000 and above.
