Learn how to create a Ridgeline plot in Excel. Also know as Joyplot chart in Excel

Here are the steps outlined in my video.

Create Offset Table
1) Copy and paste the original dataset
2) Change row names (Offset 01 to 06)
3) =$C$43*$A46
4) Use same formula for all rows and columns

Create Ridgeline Table
1) Copy and paste the original dataset
2) =C36+C46
3) Use same formula for all rows and columns

Draw 2D Area Chart
1) Ctrl + A
2) Insert ~ 2D Area
3) Copy Offset table
4) Select chart
5) Ctrl + V

Format to Ridgeline Chart
1) Fill all offset area chart to white
2) Right-click on chart ~ Select data
3) Reposition Offset 01 after 2024-07-01
Reposition Offset 02 after 2024-07-02
Reposition Offset 03 after 2024-07-03
Reposition Offset 04 after 2024-07-04
Reposition Offset 05 after 2024-07-05
Reposition Offset 06 after 2024-07-06
4) Ok
5) Resize and reposition chart
6) Remove legend, title, and grid lines
7) Remove border and make background transparent
