Removing Bing Search is the best thing I have ever done to my Windows 11 install :). If you are like me and want to remove Bing from your Windows 11 Search, from edge browser and also get rid of the default Bing Search engine for your Edge Browser feel free to either watch the entire video or see the steps written here…

So in this session I shall attempt to
1 – Remove Bing AI Search option from Windows Search
2 – Pretend I use Edge browser ever .. actually.. nvm I do not ever..
3 – Clean the launch screen of Edge Browser if I were to ever start using Edge as my default browser..
4 – Ask for folks to hit the like and the subscribe button..
5 – Talk bit about the Windows 11 Tips and Tricks series/playlist I will be creating !! So Stay tuned folks subscribe, we will all have to start using Windows 11 at one point.. if you have been always a Windows OS user..
6 – Try to stay under the 5 minutes mark.. and fail miserably at it..

In the search box (with the big fat Bing Icon) search for /”Cloud content search/”

Turn off the switches for everything except the history I guess… such as /”Microsoft account/” and /”Work or School account./”

This will stop personalizing your search results with online content. I disable everything for my setup 🙂

Removing Bing Search from Windows 11 & 10 Using the Registry Editor:

Windows Key + R and type regedit
OR
Use the Search box for Registry editor and run as administrator
Once registry editor is open.
Copy and paste the following path into the Registry Editor’s address bar and press Enter.

Computer//HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SOFTWARE//Policies//Microsoft

(remember to export your current default settings, in case you know you mess up somewhere ?)

Create new Key called as Edge

/”New/” — /”DWORD (32-bit) value./”

Name it /”HubsSidebarEnabled/”
Please dont ask me why this specific name ? Well I dunno.. I Bing searched on how to remove Bing and some pages talked about that approach…

Set value data to 0 and click Ok. Stays in Hexdecimal

Open edge browser type in address bar

edge://policy

Click reload policy

All is set now.. Bing AI Search should no longer appear.
