In this video you are going to see how to Recover Deleted files such as photos , videos , .zip , documents and so on in Linux- Ubuntu 16 04 with PhotoRec using command line

1) Open the Terminal and type the below commands to install the Software
sudo apt-get install testdisk [ Ubuntu 14.04 & 15.04 ]
sudo apt install testdisk [ Ubuntu 16.04 ]
2) To launch PhotoRec program type the below command
sudo photorec

Select the /”hard-disk/”
Select the /”partition/” from which you would like to recover the files
Select filesystem type.Since you are using Linux ubuntu , it’s going to be ext2/ext3/ext4, so select /”ext2/ext3/”
Select Free or Whole. I prefer /”Whole
Select a directory for the recovered files & after selecting the path press C.
Once the recovery process is completed it will show how many files it has recovered.
