If your printer is persistently rejecting new and refilled black or tri-colour ink cartridges, give this a go. The electronic contact points within the printer are used to communicate with those on the cartridge, ink or dirt over a key contact can cause the printer to not recognise any installed cartridges.

A physical clean like this is often the best solution if your printer, if cleaning the ink cartridges has proved fruitless. We recommend this tip for any two ink cartridge printers produced by Canon, Hewlett Packard (HP), Lexmark, Dell or even some select Samsung printers.
