How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

A clean boot is a situation where a minimum set of drivers and startup programs are running on the system. Serving as sort of a control, this will help identify whether a program/service is interfering with programs/and or the system or if it is something else. This will allow your system to /”clean boot/” so you can more easily identify the problem.

Note If the issue you are having prevents you from booting into Windows, you won’t be able to follow the steps in this tutorial. After the device tries to reboot a few times, you should get Windows Recovery Options, which you can use to try to resolve the issue.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems. Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).
