to break it down for you , ensure your using the correct cables for your gaming needs or tasks

check your owners manual it should tell you which type of cable you need in order to reach your desired fps , which your monitor is capable of

if your tryng to play higher then 1080p using the correct cable will help you get higher resolution and higher fps also

rule of thumb hdmi 2.0 above and dp 1.4 above is for 120 fpx and higher

if you find that your monitor isnt respnding as specified , ensure you are using the right cable
you’d be surprised how much the right cable will increase your resolution and fps

certain cables will only allow 1080p whereas higher version cables will allow you to play in 2k above

u dont neccessarily need the most exspensive , it just has to be the correct version to suit your monitors resolution and hz, whether it be 2560 x 1440 or 3650 x 2560, 2k or 4k or even 8k now
