After installing the 3rd generation in my friends warehouse, the hear does not turn on at all. AC and fan works but there is no fan or heat when we turn on the heater.

My friend is not sure what type of heating do they have in the warehouse so we selected /”I don’t know/” and the nest thermostat picked gas for us. I am not sure how nest determine what type of equipment you have but the equipment it picked for us did not work. I switched it to electric and the fan and heat started working since then.

Go back to your equipment setting and make sure that all the wires you connected are being detected and if they are not then try to re-insert them. Then make sure to select the proper equipment for your heater as the thermostat seem to just pick the first option.
