Step-By-Step Instructions:
Here is how to double space your work using Microsoft Word in two easy steps. Follow these two steps below to change your Microsoft Word settings to double space.

Important note: if you have already started writing, you need to highlight all of your work before following these steps.

Step 1:
Locate the /”formatting toolbar/” near the top of your Microsoft Word window that looks similar to the picture below. Find the /”line & spacing/” button that has two arrows with lines circled below. Click on it.

Step 2:
A drop-down box will appear with options as pictured below. Choose /”2.0/” for double space.

Your Microsoft Word document has now been set to double space and your work will automatically be double spaced while you write.

Again, if you have already started writing, you will need to highlight everything you have written so far and then follow the steps above to change your work to double space in Microsoft Word.
