In Excel, A workbook is a file and File is a workbook. They both are same. In Excel 2013 onward, every workbook have one worksheet. More worksheets can be added as per requirements by just clicking a Plus button after the sheet tabs.
Workbook and worksheet are different. Workbook is a file in which we can add several worksheets.
Example:
Workbook is a notebook and worksheets are the pages of notebook on which we write the data.
In every Excel worksheet there are 16,384 Columns and 1,048,576 Rows. Columns are identified by Letters whereas Rows are identified by Numbers.
The Worksheets can be Hide, Rename, Move and Delete.
To switch between the worksheets, Ctrl + Page Down / Page Up keys are used.
