In this announcement, Microsoft announces that it’s expanding the preview access to its Microsoft 365 Copilot, a digital assistant based on OpenAI’s GPT-4 that brings AI-powered capabilities across Microsoft 365 apps and services. Prior to this expansion, only 20 customers had been able to test the technology. Microsoft is also introducing a range of new capabilities to the Microsoft365 Copilot. There’s still no word on a public release, or even an open beta, for the Microsoft 365Copilot. The company says that there will be no word soon on what features will be included in the final version of the copilot as part of the launch of the Windows 10 Fall Creators UpdateThis announcement marks a significant shift in the company’s strategy around artificial intelligence and automation in general. Previous announcements by the company had focused more on refining and fine-tuning its own artificial intelligence capabilities than on broadening the reach of its offerings.
