In this video we are sharing practical actionable microphone tips to solve problem that beginner YouTubers face. As a beginner, you will find yourself asking questions like:

– What are best microphone settings to get better sound quality and remove background noise?
– How to improve microphone sound quality in noisy environment?
– Which microphone to use, for best sound quality in noisy environments?
– How to reduce microphone background noise?

We will discuss about producing relatively better sound quality without background noise
by using any MICROPHONE. And if you have got choice in microphone type, what type of MIC works in which type of environment? We will discuss all that in this video.

Without audio mixer or audio interface, there will be background noise in recorded audio. Audio output will not be uniform and it will have lows and highs. You can still control few aspects of audio and deliver relatively better audio by following some simple tips.

When I started I was very much conscious about breathing noise and background noise. I have got three microphones without audio interface. I have videos on this channel where I have demonstrated difference between voice quality of these three microphones. Even when these mics are from same company, these have audio output difference, mainly because of their type.

I have
– Lavalier Clip-on USB MIC – that is Condenser, Cardioid MIC
– Studio USB Mic – that is Condenser, Omni-directional MIC
– USB Mic with Adjustable Arm Shock Mount – that is Cardioid, Electret Microphone

I am using these without audio interface. They all work great but they have different levels of output. You can watch my review of these three microphones in videos that I have shared already.

Lavalier clip-on USB MIC needs to be near to mouth and it is less sensitive to background noise.
Studio USB MIC and MIC with Arm shock mount are more sensitive to background noise. Their output contains relatively solid audio as compared to lavalier clip on MIC.

There are other factors as well that affect audio quality. Fan and Air Conditioner produce some noise that add into background noise. So the question is: When to use which microphone for best voice quality with less background noise? And Which settings can you use to produce good quality audio with less background noise?
