Step 1: Install Kazam with /”sudo apt install kazam/”
Step 2: Open Kazam and select /”Screencast/”
Step 3: Record screencast as an mp4
Step 4: Select /”pause/” or /”finish/” when done

Kazam is a program to record the screen in Linux. A program with more options is OBS Studio but Kazam is a nice program for beginners. An important part of any screencast is the audio quality. A high quality cardioid microphone minimizes background noise to preferentially collect the speaker’s voice.
