Commands Used Here per Step:

1. Update Linux Mint
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

2. Install KDE Plasma
sudo apt update
sudo apt install kde-standard
(select SDDM as default Window Manager during installation)

3. Remove Mint Desktop Components
sudo apt remove gnome*
sudo apt remove *xfce*

fix broken apt package manager
sudo systemctl unmask ubuntu-system-adjustments.service
sudo systemctl enable ubuntu-system-adjustments.service

install firefox
sudo apt update
sudo apt install firefox
