First, it depends on the maturity of the child for Twilight and New Moon. I would say as young as 10 for those kids. Eclipse is still fine for anyone over the age of 12, but Breaking Dawn is for a more young adult audience, like 14-15 in my opinion. But it all has to do with the child’s maturity.

The movie adaptations came out with PG-13 ratings, suggesting that the content was best for teens age 13 and up, and parental guidance may be needed. “Twilight,” “New Moon,” and “Eclipse” contain some disturbing images, sexuality, and violent content.

While The Vampire Diaries is supernatural-themed, the show is a certainly edgier than Twilight. Violence, drinking and a general disregard for consequence run riff throughout. It’s not ideal viewing for the younger teenage audience. As long as they know their fiction from their fact, this should be ok for older teens.

Parents need to know that the third installment in the Twilight movie phenomenon is more mature than its predecessors but ultimately still age-appropriate for teens.

Okay, everyone says that this book is like, “Super inappropriate” or something, but it’s really not. I’m 11 and I’ve read it and they don’t go into detail with, you know. But there is a very bloody violent scene in which Bella gives birth to a vampire baby. I would still say a mature 11 year old could read it.

Is Twilight on Netflix? At the moment, Twilight is not streaming on Netflix but the fantasy film will make its way back to the service soon. Not since 2017 has the film been available to stream on Netflix, thus preventing fans from watching the film that kicked off the franchise via the streaming powerhouse.

The MPAA rated Twilight PG-13 for some violence and a scene of sensuality.
