In this video, I’m going to answer the question: is Avast a spyware? I’ll discuss Avast’s history of collecting and selling user data, and I’ll compare it to other popular antivirus software. I’ll also share my own personal opinion on whether or not I think Avast is a good choice for antivirus protection.

Avast has been accused of collecting and selling user data, including browsing history, search history, and even keystrokes. This data has been used to target users with advertising, and it has also been sold to third-party companies.

In 2020, Avast was acquired by NortonLifeLock, which has a better reputation for privacy. However, Avast’s history of data collection has raised concerns about whether or not NortonLifeLock will be able to protect user privacy.

If you’re looking for an antivirus program that doesn’t collect or sell user data, there are a few good options available. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Bitdefender Antivirus Free are both good choices.
