The Dropbox app for iPad allows you to easily transfer files back and forth to your iPad for offline use. For more iPad file transfer tips go to: http://www.imagemaven.com/ipad-for-photographers-part-5/

The iPad is a great way to show your photographs to clients and friends and Dropbox is the easiest way to get your files onto your iPad, especially after you’ve done all your image editing. It works great for videos too. I show you how you don’t need to be on WiFi to use the Dropbox App, so you can take video files and other documents on trips and in areas where there is no WiFi.

And Dropbox is also a great way to archive your photos, especially if you’re on a long holiday. Dropbox is free for a basic account and you can buy additional storage if you need it. You can also earn additional storage by telling your friends about Dropbox.

If you have just come home from a holiday and need to transfer a lot of photos from your iPad to your Mac, then I recommend using the method described in this video instead: http://youtu.be/0ZZkviuOEgI
