Do you have some old legacy software laying around that requires Windows XP. As long as you still have your XP install disks and product key you should be able to run those legacy programs on your wayback XP virtual machine (VM). This video covers all the steps necessary to build your personal wayback XP VM. You may ask why make a video on a 20+ year old insecure operating system. Two reasons-
(1) For some queer reason You Tube analytics said a lot of my viewers had searches on XP. I wasn’t sure if I could believe that but here’s the video.
(2) I had a project where I was asked to assist in recovering some old WordPerfect files. My solution was to hand over a USB disk with XP that could run Word Perfect in compatibility mode. So I took some of that work and presented it here because it may help others with similar issues.
