Hi there! My elitebook 8560w had this BIOS application error 501 after a bios update, I couldn’t access the BIOS and I couldn’t use the WIN + B key as suggested by HP to restore the bios. After hours and hours of research I found that removing the CMOS battery fixes the issue to get into the bios. You still have to uncheck the HP QuickWeb since it’s causing the bios application error 501.
