Mac comes with a great built-in option to help you zoom in on a Mac in order to magnify your screen. This is great for screen recording or when you want to do a presentation.
It’s also helpful when you come across small items on your screen.

You can find the option in system preferences/accessibility.
Notes: macOS High Sierra currently has a bug with zoom when you record the screen.
