How to write the symbol x-bar in Microsoft Word

The symbol x-bar appears commonly in the field of mathematics but most notably in the branch of statistics to represent the mean of a sample size.

To insert x-bar in Word, go to insert then equation and select the option ‘accent’ and you will find a template with a bar above its box.
