How to turn off Google Assistant in Android. In this tutorial, I show you how to disable or turn off Google Assistant on your Android phone. This will stop Google Assistant from popping up & opening if you say OK Google or if you trigger Google Assistant in anyway. It also prevents Google Assistant from stopping music on your phone. Turning off Google Assistant is easy and can be done in minutes in your phone settings. This tutorial can turn off Google Assistant for any Android phone including Samsung, Pixel, Moto, HTC, OnePlus, Huawei, Alcatel, Asus, Nubia, Blu, Acer, Cubot, LG, Lenovo, Nokia, and ZTE.

Follow the steps below to deactivate Google Assistant on your Android device:
1. Open the settings on your Android device.
2. In the Android settings, find and select Apps and Notifications.
3. Then select Assistant.
4. In Assistant, select Say /”Hey Google/”.
5. Then toggle off the first option labeled Google Assistant.
6. You have now turned off Google Assistant on your Android phone or tablet.

Follow the steps below to stop Google Assistant from Popping up:
1. Open the settings on your Android device.
2. In the Android settings, find and select Apps and Notifications.
3. In App and Notifications, select advanced.
4. In advanced, select Default apps.
5. In default apps, select Digital Assistant app.
6. Select the default digital assistant app. Most likely this will be Google Assistant.
7. Select None. You can now close the settings.
8. You have now turned off Google Assistant and stopped it from popping up in the future.
