Commands Used In This Tutorial:
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

Run Windows Update Troubleshooter:
1. Press the Win + S keys simultaneously to open the Search window.
2. Type troubleshoot in the search box, and then select the Troubleshoot settings under Best Match.
3. Click Additional troubleshooters in the pop-up window.
4. Choose Windows Update and then click Run the troubleshooter.
5. Wait for the scanning process to be done, and then check if the error is fixed.

Check Relevant Services:
1. Press the Win + R keys to open the Run window, type services.msc, and then press Enter.
2. In the Services window, double-click Windows Update from the list.
3. From the Startup type field, select Automatic from its drop-down menu.
4. Go to the Service status and click on Start.
5. Then, click Apply and OK to save the changes.
6. Next, do the same operations with Background Intelligent Transfer Service.
7. Once done, restart your PC and check if you fixed the Windows update error 0x8024a204 successfully.

Run SFC and DISM Scan:
1. Open the Search window, type cmd in the search box, right-click Command Prompt under Best Match, and then select Run as administrator.
2. In the elevated Command Prompt window, type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
3. Once the process is complete, restart your PC and check if the error has been resolved. If not, proceed by initiating a DISM scan, DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.
4. Restart PC.
