In this video, I will show you how to troubleshoot, check and fix your hard disk for errors or bad sectors using FREE software.
You can help solve a lot of computer problems and even improve the performance of your computer by making sure that your hard disk has no errors or bad sectors.
You can do this with chkdsk /r and surface scan. Windows Surface Scanner won’t fix damaged sector problems it simply diagnoses them
How long does a scan take? well this will depend upon the size of your hard disk. Its always best not to use your computer while it’s checking for errors or bad sectors.
Just remember If you start getting bad sector errors showing up on scans, STOP scanning the hard drive right away. if you continue to test the hard drive, you could damage the hard drive beyond repair.
