How to Swap SIM cards between phones, or rather a short SIM swap How To!

Swapping your own SIM card is easy – you can do it yourself right at home! If you’re switching phones this is all you need, if switching carriers, there will most likely be a phone call involved! As always, if you have questions – @askdes!

This video demonstrates how to insert, remove and swap SIM cards in your smartphone using physical SIM cards.

Hey there it’s Des and today I’m going to show you how to swap your SIM card – maybe you’re switching phones or carriers, but you can do this, so let’s get into it!

First up you’ll need a Sim ejector tool to remove your SIM card. The tool usually comes in the box with a phone, but if you don’t have one, you can always use a small paper clip.

Next, power down your phone.

Now it’s time to locate the SIM tray. Now this will usually be on the top or the side of your phone. It’s about a half inch wide and it has a small hole to one Edge.

Go ahead and insert your sim ejector or that paper clip to eject the SIM tray.

Remove the SIM card.

Now insert the SIM card in the new tray.

There’s a small Notch cut on one of the corners of the SIM, make sure that matches the notch in the SIM tray

Reinsert the SIM tray into your smartphone.

And then to finish up, power up your phone.
