When you have multiple Windows devices on your home network Windows has a really easy way of enabling sharing content between them called Homegroup. Homegroup bypasses the need to specially share folders and set special permissions so that music, pictures, videos and documents can be shared between Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 PCs with the minimum of fuss. So music on your Windows desktop PC can be accessible from a Windows tablet or from another Windows notebook.

In this video I walk through creating a Homegroup, sharing content and then accessing them from another Windows 10 PC.

You can read more about this type of topic, music and video apps and setting up media servers in our new book Entertainment Apps on the go with Windows 10
