I show you guys how to securely erase a drive using a Linux utility called shred.
Just in case you can’t see the command I run in the terminal:
sudo fdisk -l – to list the available drives, partition size and file system type
sudo shred -n 2 -vz /dev/sda – The disk I want to shred is the first drive in the machine, this may vary in the computer you are working on
