Microsoft Defender Antivirus regularly scans your device to help keep it safe.
Today i’m going to show you how to schedule Microsoft Defender to automatically scan at a time and frequency you choose
To do this follow the next steps
In the search box on your taskbar, enter Task Scheduler and open the app.
In the left pane, expand Task Scheduler Library
Click on the Microsoft folder
Then Windows
And then scroll down and select the Windows Defender folder
Now, In the top centre pane, double-click Windows Defender Scheduled Scan.
In the Windows Defender Scheduled Scan Properties window, select the Triggers tab,
go to the bottom of the window, and then select New.
Now specify how often you want scans to run.
For example i will select weekly, every Friday at 18:00 oclock.
Then click okay.
Then okay again.
So every Friday at 18 oclock windows defender will scan my device.
Now click okay.
All done!
