In the past, it was much easier to change settings on Chromebook to save files on Google Drive. But a recent update removed the downloads section from Chromebook settings and you will have to go through several steps to assign Google Drive to save and sync your Chromebook files.
1. Create a download folder by going to drive.google.com to act as your main Download folder.
https://drive.google.com
2. Then go to Chrome Browser’s Advanced – Downloads – Location and use the Change button to point your download location to the folder you created on Google Drive.
In this video, I will show you how to manage and save downloads and files on your Chromebook to Google Drive, instead of saving on Chromebook’s local drive.
