**UPDATE** – It now has the MP3 option for ripping.

The new Media Player in Windows 11 now has the ability to rip music CDs which it didn’t have when it first came out. Now you can use the built software to rip your CDs but you only have the option to create AAC, FAC, FLAC, ALAC now MP3 files with a recent update. You can also still use the original legacy Windows Media Player in Windows to RIP CDs if needed for now.
