To rip a dvd to your pc with VLC media player go to media.
Over here choose convert, save option.
Go to the disk tab.
Make sure that you choose dvd in this options.
Maybe your cd rom will have a dvd inside so make sure that your dvd is selected.
I have a sample dvd file for the purpose of this video tutorial.
I’ll choose my sample folder.

Now to convert it click convert, save.
VlC will ask you to choose output format.
I’ll go with standard mp4 format.
And, of course, choose where you want to save your converted dvd file.

This process will take some time, and after it’s finisghed, you can see your riped dvd.
