To do this, unplug your Fire TV and wait 60 seconds. Next, press the left button, menu button, and back button at the same time and hold for 12-15 seconds. Next release the buttons and wait 5-10 seconds. Next, remove the batteries from your remote and replace them if needed. Next, plug your TV back in and wait until the screen says the TV remote can’t be detected. This didn’t pop up for me so I just put the batteries back into the remote, pressed the power button, and then pressed the home button. The remote LED indicator may blink blue if paired successfully. My remote blinked orange but after re-trying holding the home button for 10 seconds and re-pressing it multiple times, it re-paired to the TV.
