Microsoft has already bloated Windows 11 with a Newsfeed through Widgets and Edge bar in Microsoft Edge. If you’re missing, the News and Interest feature of Windows 10 that shows Weather on the taskbar, the company has added a Weather widget icon to the taskbar in Windows 11 as an entry point for Widgets.
If you’ve recently updated your Windows 11 system, you’ve probably noticed a new weather widget button on the taskbar. It’s a lot like the News and Interests widget on Windows 10. However, this one appears in the left corner of the Windows 11 taskbar.

On Windows 11, the “Widgets” icon can show weather as well as notifications for sports, finance, and breaking news. Also, as you hover over the icon, the Widgets dashboard opens, similar to the “news and internets” widget available on Windows 10.
