Important: Make sure you tick /”Play Windows Startup Sound/” otherwise this won’t work! I forgot to do this in the video.
To quickly change the logon and logoff sound in Windows 10, watch this video or do the following:
1. Open Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER//AppEvents//EventLabels//WindowsLogon
3. Right click ExcludeFromCPL, click modify, then change the 1 to a 0.
4. Do the same for WindowsLogoff
5. Type /”Sounds/” in the windows search bar and click on /”Change System Sounds/”.
6. Scroll down and click /”Windows Log-off/” or /”Windows Log-on/” followed by browse.
7. Choose a .wav file and click /”Open/”.
8. Click /”Play Windows Start up Sound/”
9. Click /”Apply/” and /”Ok/” once you are done.
