UPDATE: You can now drag the Edge icon onto the desktop from the start menu as well as other icons with the updated version of Windows 10.
In this video I will show you have to create a shortcut to the Microsoft Edge browser on the desktop.
Below is the commands to enter into the text boxes as said in the video.
First text to create shortcut:
%windir%//explorer.exe shell:Appsfolder//Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge
Second text to create icon for shortcut:
%windir%//SystemApps//Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe//MicrosoftEdge.exe
*If you have trouble getting the icon please check the code carefully because I noticed when cutting and pasting it puts a dash here: Microsoft.MicrosoftE-dge its just after the E so just remove that and the icon will show.
Please take the opportunity to connect and share this video with your friends and family if you find it useful.
