How to Lock Scroll Area in Excel with VBA

There are numerous ways to stop scrolling in excel. In the previous tutorial we talked about preventing scrolling with a much simpler procedure.

In This tutorial we are doing the same thing in different way. We are going to use Excel VBA to stop scrolling. Remember I am using Microsoft excel 2010 for the demonstration. Let’s get started.

Step 1: Click the developer tab. If you don’t find it here is how to get in on the ribbon: https://youtu.be/jkSLYLk0OHU

Step 2: Click on the “Visual Basic”

Step 3: In the new dialogue box click on “Insert”

Step 4: Click “Module”

Step 5: Now write the VBA code. (Please subscribe and here goes the code: https://www.patreon.com/posts/34610681)

Step 6: Click on the “Run”

Done.

You have successfully lock the scroll area in excel and you just prevent scrolling.
